Introduction:

The rate at which the position of an object changes with in an interval of time is referred as velocity. Speed is a measure of distance covered in an interval of time. It is independent of the reference to direction because it is a scalar quantity unlike velocity.

The highways and streets roads don’t have a unique direction. The roads don’t have a specific straight line direction. These roads have curves and bends. Velocity is a component of having magnitude and directionboth while the speed is the quantity of magnitude alone without direction.

Conclusion:

Hence,speed limits are displayed but not the velocity limit on the signboard.
