Explanation of Solution

Natural disulfide (S-S) bonds in protein are broken first by reduction process in which free thiol groups (SH) are generated. Then hair I given desired shape by altering the tertiary structure due to chain shifting of protein. Finally to stabilize the new tertiary structure a final oxidation is performed in which new cysteine linkages (S-S) are formed.
