Explanation of Solution

Introduction:

In mass-energy equivalent, the mass is known as the concentrated energy. From the relation $E=m{c}^2$ , it is clear that amount of energy is related to the mass of the substance.

On the comparison of nuclear and chemical reaction, it is clear that the energy released in nuclear reaction is much higher than the chemical reaction. The electrons are transferred from substance to substance through a series of steps in a chemical reaction. Only energy is absorbed or released during these steps. There is no change in the total mass, which is in accordance to the conservation of mass.

Conclusion:

Mass and energy always conserved during chemical reaction.
