The diseases causes by Legionella pneumophila.

Introduction:

Legionella pneumophila are the aerobic bacterial species that can take up many forms, and cannot grow in usual laboratory conditions. It is usually carried by aquatic protozoan organisms like amoeba and thrives inside the cell until they are released out, forming spores in the process.

Diseases by L. pneumophila are caused in humans after inhaling the bacteria from an artificial atmosphere like air conditioning and showers, expressing symptoms like headache, fever and pneumonia; leading it to being mistaken for common cold. If not treated timely, it can even cause death due to weakening of pulmonary system.
