Introduction: Tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) is a plant virus that affects tobacco plants. It is a rod-shaped virus having a single-stranded RNA. This virus is very infectious for plants and can survive for years in dried parts of the plant. Tobacco plants belong to the genus Nicotiana. The use of tobacco causes respiratory diseases and cancer.
