Chapter 18.4, Problem 4TQ
Summary Introduction
To review:
The comparison between the formation of cyanobacterial akinetes, firmicute endospores, actinomycete arthrospores, and myxococcus myxospores.
Introduction:
Cyanobacteria are prokaryotes found in all habitats, from tropical soils to the coldest regions. They are also known as blue-green algae. The thylakoids may be distributed throughout the cell. Cyanobacteria conduct photosynthesis by splitting water and releasing oxygen. They also transform atmospheric nitrogen into ammonia.
