The smallest and basic unit of all organisms is known as cell. It is defined as functional unit of body. Cell comprises of three units that are nucleus, cytoplasm and cell membrane. Cytoplasm is region between nucleus and cell membrane and has small structures known as organelles. Mitochondria is one of the organelles present in the cell.
