Endiandric acid is a chemical compound isolated from the tree and has various biological activities. It acts as an antibiotic. Endiandric acid has many compounds ranging from A-G. Endiandric acid C shows good antibacterial activity. The biosynthesis of Endiandric acid takes place by Diels-alder cyclization reaction.
Diels-alder reaction is an organic reaction in which substituted diene and dienophile react with each other in order to form a substituted cyclohexene compound. It is a single step reaction.
