Interpretation Introduction

Interpretation:

Three models that are used by scientists and their advantages are to be explained.

Concept introduction:

The scientific model is used to illustrate and interpret events that cannot be experienced directly in science. The scientific model can frequently be used to cause prophecies by scientists. Scientific models represent systems, objects, or phenomena.

Answer to Problem 12SSC

Visual, computational, and mathematical models are three types of models used by scientists.

Explanation of Solution

The three types of models used by scientists and their uses are:

  1. Visual Model
  2. Computational Model
  3. Mathematical Model
  1. Visual Model: Visual models are the things, like, pictures, flowcharts, and diagrams that aid to educate easily. With the help of visuals, scientist can represent, illustrate their work.
  2. These models are frequently advantageous as a learning/educational tool which is used in classrooms, or by colleagues or scientists.

  3. Computational Model: Computer models are able to make animations and to do complex calculations. The computer models can make prophecies about a particular situation withstatistics andfacts.
  4. Mathematical Model: Scientists use mathematical model to illustrate a specific phenomenon. In this model scientists require mathematical equations. This model is used in chemistry, physics, earth science, biology (i.e. natural sciences) and electrical engineering, computer science (i.e. engineering disciplines).
  5. This model is also used in psychology, political science, economics, sociology (i.e. social sciences).

Conclusion

Visual, computational, and mathematical models are three types of models used by scientists. These three models are used to illustrate the data, objects, events, systems, etc. to educate or represent the work easily.
