Question
Chapter 11.2, Problem 6QC
Summary Introduction
To review:
The neuroglial cells that form and circulate the fluid surrounding the brain and the spinal cord.
Introduction:
The CNS (central nervous system) has some nonneural cells called neuroglial cells. These cells are responsible for maintaining homeostasis, providing support to neurons, forming myelin, and protecting neurons. These cells are of four types—astrocytes, ependymal cells, microglial cells, and oligodendrocytes.
