Introduction: G proteins are bound to GPCR (G protein-coupled receptors) that are essential for triggering many signal transduction pathways. The G protein is a heterotrimer having three sub units, namely α, β, and γ. The α sub unit is responsible for activating many cascade reactions in the effector cells by the process of phosphorylation, while β and γ sub units dissociate and activate its target cells.
