Explanation of Solution
Energy is used to do work. Before the work is done the energy is in concentrated form. This energy is more useful. After the work is done the energy is distributed within different substances involved in the process. Total energy before the work done and after the work done remains the same. It means quantity of energy remains the same however the quality of the energy is decreased. The energy obtained after the work done is less convenient to use for further work. Thus quantity and quality of energy defines the amount and nature of the energy respectively.
Quality of the energy is decreasing gradually. Total energy of the universe is constant.
