Introduction:

Sarcoplasmic reticulum is one of the two sets of tubules in the skeletal muscles. It is a complex network of smooth endoplasmic reticulum which surrounds the myofibril through interconnecting tubules. Sarcolemma is the thin outermost layer of the muscle cell or fibers. The cytoplasm of the muscle cells is known as sarcoplasm that contains sarcoplasmic reticulum and other organelles.
