Introduction:
Muscle cells or muscle fibers are obtained from the fusion of developing myoblasts by the process called myogenesis. These fibers are generally cylindrical, have more than one nucleus, and are covered up by sarcolemma (muscle plasma membrane). The muscle cells consist of numerous mitochondria for efficient energy production.
