Interpretation:Three states of matter should be ranked from highest to lowest viscosity.
Concept introduction:Something that can acquire some space and possess mass is known as matter. It exists in three main states that are mentioned below.
Solid: This state possesses particular shape and volume. Intermolecular forces between constituents of solid are very strong. This, in turn, results in very less or negligible motion of particles.
Liquid: It consists of specific volume but not definite shape. Its shape can vary from container to container that is used to store liquid. Liquid particles have intermolecular forces in between solids and gases and so as their motion.
Gas: This has no particular volume and no specific shape. Gases have negligible intermolecular forces in between their particles and therefore these possess maximum motion.
