Concept introduction:
Benzene derivatives have one or more substituents attached to the benzene ring. In such compounds, the root name is benzene. The ring is numbered so that the substituents attached to it, get the lowest locator numbers. Prefixes and locator numbers are used for writing the number and type of substituents. In the case of disubstituted benzene, the prefixes ortho, meta, and para are used to indicate the relative positions of the two substituents. In the case of ortho disubstituted benzene, the position of the two substituents is 1, 2. In the case of meta disubstituted benzene, the position of the two substituents is 1, 3. In the case of para disubstituted benzene, the position of the two substituents is 1, 4.

- The second question was incorrect. "The IUPAC nomenclature of benzene compounds primarily will use benzene as the root name. However, common names for substituted benzene compounds exist that use the base names from its derived compounds. The principal functional group will serve as the common root name."
