Summary Introduction
A synthetic substance which is generated from the chemical group is called as a sulfonamide. The sulfonamides are also called as sulpha or sulfa drugs. The sulfonamide is related structurally to sulfanilamide. It is an analog of p-aminobenzoic acid (PABA). The cough, allergies, antimalarial and antifungal functions are also treated by using sulfonamides.
