Aminoglycosides are also called as bactericidal antibiotics because it directly kills bacteria and it is a class of antibiotics. It is mainly used to treat the infections caused by bacteria. Generally, it is administered intravenously (IV). Tobramycin, Kanamycin, Amikacin, and Gentamicin are some examples of aminoglycosides.
