Hip bone is one of the large bones, also known as coxal bone. It composes a portion of the pelvic girdle of pelvis. It makes a contact between the lower limb and the pelvic girdle. Hip joint provides stability and support in bearing the body weight in both the conditions, like dynamic (during walking and running) and static (during standing condition).
