The human foot is similar to the human hand, but does have anatomic differences. Describe two of these differences, and explain how they are related to the physiology of the hand and the foot.
The talus bone of the foot receives the weight of thebody from the tibia. The talus bone then distributes thisweight toward the ground in two directions: one-half of thebody weight is passed in a posterior direction and one-halfof the weight is passed in an anterior direction. Describethe arrangement of the tarsal and metatarsal bones that areinvolved in both the posterior and anterior distribution ofbody weight.
