Introduction:

Foot arches are formed by the tarsal and the metatarsal bone and by the tendons and the ligaments. There are three arches of foot – two of them are medial and lateral longitudinal arches and one is a transverse arch. Foot arches help to support the body weight and give posture to the feet. Flat feet are also known as the fallen arches and it is a posture deformity where the foot arches collapsed.
