Introduction:

A centripetal force acting on a car is an inward force that helps car to move in a curved track while centrifugal force is an outward apparent force felt by a car moving on a curved track.

There should be a statement on letter that when a car turning a corner there is a centripetal acceleration arises due to the changing in the direction of the velocity that causes a centripetal force towards the center of the corner (circular) track. The net force towards the center of the circle is supplied by the road and the friction between tires of the car and the road permit the force to be applied on the tires.

The centrifugal force is an apparent force which has nothing to do for a car to keep from skidding.

Conclusion:

Hence, the centripetal force is provided by the friction between the tires of the car and road which help a car to keep from skidding.
