Earth exerts a gravitational force on every object. When object is thrown vertically up its motion is against gravity so its velocity goes on decreasing.
As the objects in both motions are launched on the earth, the gravitational force acts on the object. Due to gravitational force,the acceleration of an object goes on decreasing in both motions.
In horizontal motion,the trajectory of the object is immediately goes downward which gives downwards curve of trajectory.
In vertical motion,initially object moves vertically upwards their it comes down words. So, the trajectory of the object is parabolic.
