To review:
The variables, which affect the expression of genetically determined behavior during deprivation experiment.
Given:
The deprivation experiment is to find the traits, which are genetically controlled or the ones, which do not depend on environmental factors. The web-spinning behavior of young spider does not change in an environment where no such examples for spinning are available. Therefore, the information for web-spinning is genetically determined. In some cases, a genetically determined trait needs input from environment in order to express the trait.
Introduction:
The deprivation experiment was carried out by the ethologists as they were keen to demonstrate and analyze the genetic determination of the behavior. Different environmental variables were selected in this experiment.

If both Players A and B cooperate, then both receive a fitness payoff of P amount. If one defects and the other cooperates, then the defector receives Q and the cooperator R. If both defected, then both receive S. Which of the following payoff values will make this game a Prisoner's Dilemma game? Question 5 options: P = 7, Q = 3, R = 2, and S = 1 1) P = 28, Q = 20, R = 32, and S = 25 2) P = 7, Q = 10, R = 2, and S = 5 3) P = 5, Q = 3, R = 7, and S = 0 4) All of the above conditions can make the payoff matrix into a game of Prisoner's Dilemma.arrow_forwardIn one twin study investigating the genetics of addiction, 41% of monozygotic twins both exhibited substance dependence while 24% of dizygotic twins both exhibited substance dependence.
