Program Plan Intro

Routing Information Protocol (RIP):

• RIP is a dynamic protocol that is used to find the best path between source and destination over a network.
• RIP uses hop count algorithm to find best path.
• Hop count is a number of routes that occur between source and destination.
• The path with minimum number of hop counts is considered as best path to reach the destination.
• The hop count algorithm is used to find the shortest path between source and destination.
• The data is delivered to the destination at high speed with shortest amount of time using this hop count algorithm.

Open Shortest Path First (OSPF):

• All Internet Protocol (IP) Networks use OSPF as routing Protocol.
• OSPF uses Link State Routing (LSR) algorithm.
• OSPF is used as Interior Gateway Protocols (IGPs) in larger networks.
• OSPF can be used in an autonomous system.

Connectus:

• Several companies across United States and Canada can access the internet and data communication services using a medium-sized Internet Service Provider (ISP) called Connectus.
• In about 50 cities, Connectus provides fixed connection for client’s offices.
• All centers in a network should connect with two other networks.
