Concept explainers
To Explain: The change in the forces or their interaction-pair, assuming that the ball is lowered at increasing speed.
Explanation of Solution
Introduction:
On the given ball, two forces act that is upward force of the hand on the ball and downward gravitational force of the Earth on the ball.
On lowering of the ball, the force applied by the hand on the ball is reduced and the gravitation force of earth supports the lowering motion of the ball this causes a downward acceleration of ball. In the same way the force exerted by the ball on the hand decreased as both hand and ball are moving down due to action of gravitation force of earth which explains that interaction partners remain the same.
Conclusion:
The interaction-pair partners will change with increasing speed.
