Introduction:

Tetanus is an infection caused by Clostridium tetani bacteria it is also referred to as lockjaw; there are in total four kinds of vaccines.

Explanation of Solution

Tetanus is very rare in US; the average of only 30 cases are reported each year and all the cases that are involve people who have never received a tetanus shot. It is an infection caused by Clostridium tetani bacteria it is also referred to as lockjaw; there are in total four kinds of vaccines.  The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) recommended that either tetanus and diphtheria toxoids vaccine or T-dap to be used for the decennial Td booster. The average of only 30 cases are reported each year and all the cases that are involve people who have never received a tetanus shot.
