Answer to Problem 99A

The number of ducks that are to report remains the same because those 15 ducks flay from the south whose count is not necessary.

Explanation of Solution

The concepts of accuracy and precision are related to correctness and reproducibility respectively.

Accuracy is evaluated by comparing the correct value with the measured value in a measurement.

Three northern lakes comprise 500,000 ducks in the first lake, 250,000 ducks in the second lake, and 100,000 ducks in the third lake.

So, in total there are 850,000 ducks.

15 ducks are flying from the south and landing on the third lake. But there is no need to take these ducks into account.

This is because only the ducks that are in northern lakes are to be reported not the ducks in the southern lakes.
