Write the expression for the discharge of a stream.

d=A×v

Here,

A is the cross-sectional area of stream

v is the speed of the stream

Substitute 1m2 for A and 0.5m/s for v in the above expression to get the value of d.

da =1m2 × 0.5m/s=0.5 m3/s

Conclusion:

Therefore, the steam discharge is 0.5m3/s.
