Question
Chapter 27.4, Problem 16AYP
Summary Introduction
To analyze:
The name of the substance that is responsible for most of the osmotic pressure of the extracellular fluid.
Introduction:
The body’s water content is regulated so that the total volume of water in the body remains constant. Thus, the volume of water taken into the body is equal to the volume lost each day. The increase in osmolarity of the extracellular fluid triggers the response of the thirst and antidiuretic hormone (ADH).
