The smallest carbon chain is of A with seven carbons, hydrocarbon B is having eight carbons in a chain and highest carbon chain is of hydrocarbon C with nine carbons.

So the order will be A,B and C.

The structure is first needed to be displayed in the kekule structural representation then the numbering is given to the carbon as shown in the Fig.(1) such that it will cover maximum number of C atoms in the molecule. The remaining carbon is considered to be as the branching carbons that we don’t have to count while counting the longest chain.

Therefore, the smallest carbon chain is of A with seven carbons, hydrocarbon B is having eight carbons in a chain and highest carbon chain is of hydrocarbon C with nine carbons. So the order will be A,B and C.
