The veins conductdeoxygenated blood to the heartfrom the tissues or organs by the means of capillariesand certain veins entering the right atrium of the heart known as venacava and coronary sinus. The deoxygenated blood in the veins hasa high partial pressure of carbon dioxide and the partial pressure of oxygen is low, whereas the opposite situation occurs in the arteries.
