A travel agency has recently lost several medium-sized and large corporate customers due to complaints about poor customer service. The management team of the travel agency decided to appoint a team of analysts to address this problem. The team gathered data by conducting interviews and surveys with current and past corporate customers and gathering customer feedback data that the travel agency has recorded over time. About 2% of customers complained about errors made in their bookings. On one occasion, a customer requested a change to a flight booking. The travel agent wrote an e-mail to the customer suggesting that the change had been made and attached a modified travel itinerary. However, it later turned out that the flight reservation system had not confirmed the modified booking. As a result, the customer was not allowed to board the flight, leading to a series of severe inconveniences for the customer.…
Chart and Regression analysis :
What does the intercept predict?
X: C16 (number of cars on the sales lot) versus Y: C17 (cars sold per day)
Equation: y=2.9x + 14.5
Slope:2.9
Intercept:14.5
Does the intercept mean the intercept is 14.5 means that the cars sold per day( Y) predicted number of cars on sale lot(X) to be 14.5, but this intercept has no meaning. So, I will not use to predict cars sold per day?

The team decides to conduct a root cause analysis to identify potential problems. Through the root cause analysis and further investigation, it appears that the drying time of the paint in minutes is affecting the overall quality of the finish. The aspect they need to examine is the variation in drying time across different colours of paint. Considering the ongoing concerns in the painting process, the team chooses to collect a sample of six drying time measurements every 20 minutes from various colours of paint. The recorded drying time values for a day's production are presented in Table 1. A total of 10 sets of measurements, each consisting of six drying time values in minutes, have been collected. Each time a set of measurements is taken, the individual drying time values are recorded. Table 1: Drying Time…arrow_forward
- Estimating a cost function, high-low method. Lacy Dallas is examining customer-service costs in the southern region of Camilla Products. Camilla Products has more than 200 separate electrical products that are sold with a 6-month guarantee of full repair or replacement with a new product.
