Lipids are
Steroids are types of lipids which consist of three 6-membered rings and one 5-membered ring. These rings together are called as steroid nucleus. Other polar and non-polar groups are bonded with these rings and are responsible for different physical and chemical properties of steroids. Cholesterol is one example of steroid.

- Why are some physicians are careless when prescribing benzodiazepines for patients suffering from severe anixety?arrow_forwardTrue or False Amine salts have increased solubility in water. Amines have a pleasant floral aroma. Carboxylic acids have significantly higher boiling points than alcohols of comparable molecular weight Butanal would have a higher boiling point than butanoic acid. Pentanone would have a lower boiling point than pentane. Carboxylate ions have decreased solubility in water.arrow_forward¨ What other types of analgesics are on the market?
