Gene cloning is a molecular technique in which one can make copies of DNA by inserting DNA into a vector like plasmid. It is done by the help of restriction enzymes, DNA ligases and vector.
Both these methods are used to make copies of DNA. DNA amplification is the process by which gene cloning or PCR make copies of DNA.
