Introduction:

The human ear is broadly divided into three regions, namely the inner ear, middle ear, and the outer ear. The final analysing of sound takes place in the cochlea of the inner ear. Scala media is more commonly referred to as the cochlear duct. It is known as a portion of the membranous labyrinth that comprises of the sensory receptors, involved in hearing.
