Explanation of Solution
Two events can be mutually exclusive if there is no common outcome of the both events. Whereas if there is any common outcome then the events becomes not mutually exclusive events.
Drawing a card from the peck of standard cards and getting jack and a queen.
As we know that jack can never be queen, hence the events cannot occur at same time thus they are mutually exclusive.
Drawing a card from the peck of standard cards and getting jack and diamonds.
Here common outcome would be jack of diamond. Hence the events are not mutually exclusive.
