Explanation of Solution
Introduction:
A lens is made of transparent plastic or glass which can have convex surface or concave surface. This is an optical device which focus or disperse the light incident on it.
Mirrors are those curved or plane surfaces which are polished at one side and light rays’ incident on it disperse or converge by the phenomena of reflection.
Convex mirror and concave lens, both are divergent in nature cannot produce a real image because of their virtual focal plane. Because of the virtual nature of their focal plane, no physical rays can pass through them in order to produce a real image.
Conclusion:
Hence, the convex mirror and concave lens are unable to produce a real image because of their focus itself are virtual in nature and therefore no rays can pass through it physically to form a real image.
