A concave lens is that type of lens that bends inward. It is also known as diverging lens.
The light is bent up by the lens when it passes through them. The direction in which the light bends and the amount of light that will get bend depends on the lens’s curvature. Therefore for a camera that uses a concave lens the light will bent upward. This is because the light is not bent up towards a single point.
