Introduction:
The image is formed when two or more rays after refracting from the lens intersect each other.
From the lens law, the position of image of the object depends upon the position of object.
Consider the figure shown below.
To move away the image of candle from the focal point, the candle is supposed to move away from the lens at a distance nearly to the two focal lengths.

Therefore, the position of image is moved away from the lens.
