Introduction:

As given in the experiment, eukaryotic licensing factors cause the prevention of DNA replication from being initiated at origin more than once in the cell cycle. Geminin is a protein which inhibits the licensing factors that are required for the binding of MCM27 to an origin and initiate replication. Hence, Geminin is present, MCM27 will be unable for binding to an origin. At the end of the mitosis, Geminin is degraded, able of more than binding of MCM27 of DNA and relicense the origin.
