The following values of x have been found $x=-3$ and $x=30$

Explanation of Solution

Given information: $\angle R$ is right angle

Formula used: The following formulas have been used

  $m\angle R={90}^o$

  $m\angle R={(x^2-27x)}^o$

Calculation: equating the value of m $\angle R$ from the above equations, we get :

  $x^2-27x=90$

Thus,

  $x^2-27x-90=0$

The above equation can also be written as :

  $(x+3)(x-30)=0$

And this equation holds true for two values of x :

  $x=-3$ and $x=30$
