Chapter CHST3, Problem 4RQ
Summary Introduction
To review:
The disadvantages and the advantages of Y-chromosome STR (short tandem repeat) profiling.
Introduction:
All cells of an organism have genetic material that is mostly in the form of DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid). Organisms of the same species more or less have the same DNA sequence, but for certain repeat sequences that vary in length. On the contrary, the DNA sequences of individuals belonging to different species differ in the order or the sequence of the nitrogenous bases.
