Introduction:
Fermentation is an anaerobic pathway of energy generation from the organic molecules in the form of adenosine triphosphate (ATP). This process takes place in bacteria, yeasts, and in the muscle tissues, which become a deficit in oxygen under strenuous physical workout. Unlike aerobic respiration, this process generates a low amount of energy, which can continue only when the NAD+ is replenished.
