Chapter 8.2, Problem 11AYP
Summary Introduction

To analyze:

Abduction and adduction movement and these movements in upper limbs, hands, wrist, head, and waist. The body part used lateral flexion.

Introduction:

Angular movement is formed by making a change in the degree of angle in the middle of the bones of a joint. In this movement, the limbs or trunk bends concerning another part of the human body. The most common type of angular movement is abduction and adduction. Abduction and adduction are the corresponding movements that occur in the forearm, head, waist, and wrist.

The following are types of movement: Explain each terminology and how does these movement works. Cite example for each movement. (Ex. for ADDUCTION- Bringing fingers together from a spread wide apart position) Flexion Extension Abduction Adduction Rotation
Using approximately 400-500 words, choose a sports skill you wish to analyze (note this will be the same sports skill used in a future Unit). Some examples include a free throw shot, softball pitch, soccer kick, baseball swing, etc. Discuss what movements occur at the ankle, knee, hip, spine, shoulder, elbow, and wrist. Compare the movements bilaterally, or both sides. In which planes do these movements occur? What axis of rotation occurs at each joint? Include at least two scholarly references (using APA formatting and style) to guide your answers.
Movements of Synovial Joints: Write the name of the movement being demonstrated by each of the following figures.
