Summary Introduction

Introduction:

Synovial joints contain synovial fluid and these joints mostly articulate the bones of the appendicular skeleton. These bones are covered with hyaline cartilage called articular cartilage and a sheet of fibrocartilage is present between articular cartilage called articular disk. The synovial fluid is present in the joint cavity which is surrounded by a joint capsule. The innermost lining of the joint capsule is covered with a synovial membrane which helps in synovial fluid secretion.
