The solution that is most concentrated and the one that is least concentrated should be identified.
Concept introduction:
The extent of a concentrated solution is determined by the number of particles of solute present in a fixed amount of solvent. The solution that has a greater number of moles or a number of particles in a given amount of solvent has greater concentration.
For solutions, the concentration is often described in terms of molarity. Theexpression for molarity is given as follows:
This formula indicates that for a fixed volume of solvent, the greater is the number of moles, the greater is the molarity or the concentration of the solution.
