The names of two
Introduction:
Most protozoa are recognised by their motile feeding stage called trophozoite. Many protozoa have a resting stage called cyst when environmental conditions are unfavourable for growth and feeding. The cyst stage is characterized by a thick cuticle wall above the cell membrane that makes the organism resistant to heat, dryness and chemicals. Many pathogenic protozoa are transmitted to their host in their cyst form.
(b)
To determine:
The way by which a non-cyst-forming pathogenic protozoan will be transmitted.
