The characteristics that set the apicomplexa apart from the other protozoan groups.
Introduction:
It is tricky to classify protozoa because they are extremely diverse. However, taxonomists have set up a classification system based on their method of motility, mode of reproduction and stages in their life cycle. Based on several morphological parameters are life cycle details, protozoa are classified as Mastigophora, Sarcodina, Ciliophora and Apicomplexa.
