Summary Introduction

To determine: How human brain interprets of a series of pressure waves in the cochlea caused by vibrations of basilar membrane that moves from apex to base.

Concept introduction:

Ear is an auditory organ that also provides balance to the body. It is composed of outer ear, middle ear and inner ear. Cochlea is the spiral shaped structure that is found in the inner ear. It contains the “organ of Corti" which generates nervous stimuli according to the vibrations.

Please ASAp. Thanku. What is the tonotopic anatomical organization of cells in the auditory brain? a.The anatomical organization of cells according to the temporal pattern of sounds b.The anatomical organization of cells according to the loudness of sounds c.The anatomical organization of cells direction from which a sound comes d.Anatomically organization of cells according to the frequency to which cells respond best
A friend of yours wants to better understand how our brains can distinguish between soft and loud sounds. Which of the following best explains this to your friend? O The inner ear is equiped with different sensory cells that get "excited" for each volume of sound disturbace. O Louder sounds cause larger action potentials than do softer sounds. Louder sounds cause smaller action potentials than do softer sounds. O Louder sounds induce a lower frequency of action potentials than do softer sounds. O Louder sounds induce a higher frequency of action potentials than do softer sounds. MacBook Pro #3 $ & %24
